The company has established an enviable reputation across the globe for its high quality, reliable product range and is now looking for a Switch Mode Power Supply Design Engineer to join its large UK Research & Development Team.
Focusing on high level circuit and PCB design the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering finished products to agreed specifications and within set project timescales. Working as part of a dedicated project team the candidate will be required to provide detailed feasibility studies, conduct full testing of products throughout the design process, contribute to design specifications and liaise with a wide number of departments throughout the organisation to ensure products are delivered on time every time.
With a degree in an electronic or electrical engineering discipline candidates will be able to demonstrate at least 5 years experience in a similar design role. Candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong background in circuit design skills related to switch mode power supplies. The candidate will also have detailed knowledge of CADStar or similar software packages, experience of working with ISO 9001 controlled document systems, previous experience of testing to set environmental and EMC requirements and a strong knowledge of modern production methods, including design for surface mount technology.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate outstanding PC knowledge, possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team.

All products are designed and manufactured on-site within our UK Head Office which is based just outside Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The company currently has a turnover in excess of £25 million and a dedicated workforce of just over 100. Due to continued expansion the company is now looking for a PC Software Engineer to join its expanding R&D Team.
The applicant will be required to work as part of a dedicated team developing software for standard and bespoke DSE control solutions. The applicant will be required to conduct testing and compile comprehensive documentation for all developments
The applicant will possess the skills to develop PC interfaces and graphical user interfaces using high level C# code in a fast paced environment. Production test code will also need to be developed in line with the company’s current testing procedures. The applicant will also have experience of communications technologies including Ethernet, RS232/RS485 and USB.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in a software/computer engineering discipline and will possess at least 5 years experience in a similar role. Experience of working with ISO9001 controlled document systems is essential as is proven experience of working in a team environment, with the ability to demonstrate significant achievements in previous roles.

You will be responsible for managing a dedicated sales territory and will be required to develop existing accounts as well as gaining new business. You will also be required to prepare and maintain sales territory reports on a monthly basis. The successful candidate must also be prepared to travel on a regular basis, both in the UK and overseas.
You are required to have at least 3 years experience in a customer facing sales role. Ideally you will be educated to degree level and will have practical experience of working within an electrical/electronics environment. Experience of working within the power generation industry would be an advantage as would the ability to speak a second language. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of working within a sales environment. You must also possess excellent IT skills and be fully conversant with Microsoft Office systems. You will be required to liaise with suppliers within the UK and overseas on a daily basis ensuring the best prices and delivery schedules are achieved. You will also be required to ensure goods are ordered to the correct specification to match the business requirements and establish new supplier agreements conducting supplier audits to ensure DSE's strict quality control procedures are met.
You will need a minium of three years experience in a busy purchasing environement. Experience in electronics buying from the far east would be an advantage but is not essential. You will possess excellent Microsoft Office skills, be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate a throughly organised approach to your work.
The ability to speak Chinese would be an advantage but is not essential. Regular overseas travel is required with this role.
